The Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to drive key initiatives across our global organization. This role will dive deep to uncover key opportunities to improve Key Performance Indicators across our business while improving cost efficiencies. You will work cross functionally across Global Procurement Operations (GPO) pillars including Category Supplier Management and Site Procurement while partnering with operations and suppliers to balance risk and efficiency in our global supply chain. This role will be required to invent and simplify and continually rethink how we manage inventory and execute our processes.
Key job responsibilities
Lead projects focused on driving KPIs within the GPO and SPOC organizations
Oversee the adoption and improvement of standard work
Implement measurement controls (metrics and reports) for supply initiatives
Work with crossfunctional teams to solve complex problems
Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth and scalability of the business
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
About the team
The GPCS team is a global team responsible for ordering forecasting and demand planning for noninventory goods and services. We prioritize our operations customers while developing strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders across the Global Procurement Organization and other Amazon businesses. Our team centralizes noninventory processes in order to drive standardization cost reduction and efficiencies and operates on a 24/7 basis to provide consistent support to stakeholders. 5 years of working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams experience
5 years of team management experience
5 years of cross functional project delivery experience
5 years of program or project management experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros pivots lookups) at an advanced level
Bachelors degree
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
MBA
Masters degree
Knowledge of SQL
