Summary:

The Director guides leads and directs all aspects of the functions and operations of assigned service areas to ensure quality services are provided within established guidelines and fulfill Nobles mission to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families through individualized services. Facilitates change initiatives oversees the achievement of performance objectives and ensures effective internal communication that supports the agencys strategic goals and quality of service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Plan implement and monitor daily operation of all designated programs and services.

Review and evaluate effectiveness of existing programs maintaining all standards for accreditation fulfillment of contractual obligations etc.

Analyze all staffing needs within the division and recommend appropriate changes as needed.

Ensure compliance with BQIS CARF and other accreditation standards.

Actively participate in department and committee meetings as appropriate taking action on all assigned items.

Guide the development of programs/services and performance quality standards for all staff within designated programs.

Ensure programs and processes meet quality standards to assure the health and safety of all program participants and their families/teams.

Ensure documentation of programs progress through regular reports to Asst. VP of Programs.

Engage in leadership behavior to contribute to the organizations growth and development and to the provision of individualized support and services that facilitate personal outcomes for individuals served.

Recommend department plan and budget for approval.

Monitor performance against strategic plan program evaluation and budget.

Ensure the development of professional and technical skills of self and staff.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge in the areas of social work rehabilitation supported employment and community supports.

Must have and/or develop working knowledge and proficiency in Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavior Supports.

Knowledge of applicable accreditation standards maintenance thereof and subscribing to the functional/integrated model of programming.

Values inclusion and a family centered approach to providing services to children and adults with disabilities and their families.

Ability to use strategic thinking to understand and implement changes in anticipation of events and circumstances.

Customer service negotiation and networking skills to establish contacts and meet agency and departmental outcomes.

Ability to plan and organize work activities/processes use discretion and sound judgment take initiative and demonstrate flexibility to ensure goals are achieved in a timely manner.

Demonstrate cooperative attitude and tolerance for stress when confronted with critical situations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide people toward goal achievement.

Demonstrates a team management approach.

Ability to develop organizational talent.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in rehabilitation education business psychology social work or closely related field. Masters degree preferred (and required for specific services per regulations

Minimum three years of supervisory experience preferably in a setting working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must have ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. periodically

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
