Job Description

- Drive a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter van equipped with advanced insulation for yearround comfort to appointments in the Hartford area.
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing brushing trimming and styling based on breed standards and client preferences.
- Handle pets gently and safely throughout the grooming process employing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assess pet coat and skin conditions noting concerns and communicating them to owners.
- Educate owners on proper grooming practices and recommend homecare products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming van sanitizing tools and supplies.
- Manage appointments effectively to ensure timeliness and productivity.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries resolving concerns and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Genuine love for animals.
- Proven grooming experience including knowledge of breedspecific grooming and coat care.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely handle pets of all sizes temperaments and breeds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to delivering highquality grooming services.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to work weekends holidays and extended hours when needed.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs or manage large dogs temporarily.
