We have an exciting opportunity for a Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Subsystem Manager to join the
team with Aerodyne Industries a teammate company.
The Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Sub
The Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Subsystem Manager will:
Lead Risk Assessments and track the progress of mitigation steps
Participate in CMUS design reviews Hazard Analysis Reports and weekly meetings with Orion stakeholders.
Witness the development and qualification testing
Conduct site visits to suppliers
Participate in multiple spacecraft level forums representing CMUS
Review of significant drawings schematics test plans analysis Failure Effects and Modes Analyses requirements data
test data critical processes and address discrepancies and resolutions
Coordinate with Softgoods Subject Matter Experts on changes to the design nonconformances verification evidence
and participate in other reviews and activities as needed.
Coordinate between Orion Stakeholder analysis teams at NASA and the Orion contractor
Coordinate NASA reviews of CMUS model development plan with Subject Matter Expert (SME) assessment of gaps/
risks and potential mitigation activities
Report analysis status and gaps/risks to Orion program and Engineering Technical Authority (TA)
Perform other duties as required

Requires a minimum of a bachelors degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 10 years of related experience
Excellent people skills
Familiarity with desktop software applications MS Office (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint) and MS Teams is required
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requisition Preferences:
Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10 Years experience
Background in Loads and Dynamics and Monte Carlo Analysis
Familiarity with wave dynamics and spectra a plus
Familiarity with LSDyna a plus
Project Engineering skills a plus
Familiarity with NASA standards and verifications a plus
Ability to conduct engineering tests on development units a plus
