Otis is seeking a highly motivated Technical Customer Service Consultant to join out team in Bloomfield CT .
On a typical day you will:
Communicate directly with field offices mechanics supervisors and repair technicians to coordinate material requests.
Identify and receive incoming electronic material from external customers.
Place and approve customer Return Authorizations for repairs.
Ensure availability of WIP and limit excess inventory
Create repair requisitions and build POs for items in the repair program.
Support ongoing internal projects such as Inventory Reduction and Obsolescence.
Managing WIP (Work in Progress) inventory with field requests for returns.
Requires data manipulation in various software packages such as SDC Microsoft Word Excel Access etc.
Manage tracking requests and followups to ensure customers have the most uptodate order information and meet deadlines.
Follows safety rules practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time as required.
Must comply with all EH&S policies and procedures.
Participate in annual inventory.
What you will need to be successful:
The ideal candidate should be wellspoken with a professional demeanor and strong customer service and computer skills. In addition the successful candidate:
Must be a selfstarter with strong communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
Manage multiple tasks and be willing to work in a fastpaced team environment.
Ability and willingness to learn technical aspects & processes (reading Engineering drawings and understanding part usage.
Excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills.
Ability to balance the needs of the Customer and the business when making decisions.
Read interpret and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
Physical Demand:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. If an item weighs more than 50 lbs. the employee must ask for assistance in lifting and/or use the appropriate crane forklift or other lifting devises.
Walking balancing climbing standing twisting/turning bending/stooping crawling crouching kneeling/squatting sitting reaching above shoulder height reaching forward lifting (maximum 50 pounds) carrying pushing/pulling handling feeling digital dexterity wrist flexion/extension power grip working speed talking hearing seeing (with color vision) depth perception.
Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Education:
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical trade school certificate is preferred.
