Otis is seeking a highly motivated Technical Customer Service Consultant to join out team in Bloomfield CT .

On a typical day you will:

  • Communicate directly with field offices mechanics supervisors and repair technicians to coordinate material requests.

  • Identify and receive incoming electronic material from external customers.

  • Place and approve customer Return Authorizations for repairs.

  • Ensure availability of WIP and limit excess inventory

  • Create repair requisitions and build POs for items in the repair program.

  • Support ongoing internal projects such as Inventory Reduction and Obsolescence.

  • Managing WIP (Work in Progress) inventory with field requests for returns.

  • Requires data manipulation in various software packages such as SDC Microsoft Word Excel Access etc.

  • Manage tracking requests and followups to ensure customers have the most uptodate order information and meet deadlines.

  • Follows safety rules practices and other safety requirements for all projects.

  • All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time as required.

  • Must comply with all EH&S policies and procedures.

  • Participate in annual inventory.

What you will need to be successful:

  • The ideal candidate should be wellspoken with a professional demeanor and strong customer service and computer skills. In addition the successful candidate:

  • Must be a selfstarter with strong communication organizational and problemsolving skills.

  • Manage multiple tasks and be willing to work in a fastpaced team environment.

  • Ability and willingness to learn technical aspects & processes (reading Engineering drawings and understanding part usage.

  • Excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to balance the needs of the Customer and the business when making decisions.

  • Read interpret and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.

Physical Demand:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. If an item weighs more than 50 lbs. the employee must ask for assistance in lifting and/or use the appropriate crane forklift or other lifting devises.

  • Walking balancing climbing standing twisting/turning bending/stooping crawling crouching kneeling/squatting sitting reaching above shoulder height reaching forward lifting (maximum 50 pounds) carrying pushing/pulling handling feeling digital dexterity wrist flexion/extension power grip working speed talking hearing seeing (with color vision) depth perception.

  • Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Education:

  • The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical trade school certificate is preferred.
