The EMEA Sales Data & Analytics Specialist will join our EMEA team of Retail Excellence covering a key role in the development of advanced analysis machine learning models and data visualization products. With exposure to the entire retail business you will work to optimize sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and growth.
Main activities:
- Works on strategically identified cuttingedge data science use cases that cover the entire sales journey.
- Uses advanced analytics methods to extract insights from business data.
- Performs analysis and builds datadriven models to answer business questions and needs.
- Create hypotheses and experiments to identify hidden relationships to direct new Sales strategies.
- Develops visualizations and presentations to influence key stakeholders in implementing key recommendations from data science initiatives.
- Develops machine learning models with the aim to facilitate Sales processes.
- Collaborate with other team members across Marketing/CRM IT Reporting & Analytics to build shared data products dashboards and advanced analysis.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in quantitative fields like Data Science Mathematics Statistics Physics Economics Computing and Engineering.
- At least 35 years of experience in data science projects preferably covering digital customer or retail data science with experience in churn analytics text analytics Sales forecasting customer segmentation lifetime value model development and supporting operations.
- Previous exposure to large language models or data governance/quality tools and techniques is considered a plus.
- Able to build longlasting relationships with peers in the organization based on trust.
- Able to manage and coordinate the work of external resources helping in the development of models and analysis.
- Open minded to change and always seek to improve your way of working knowledge and attitude.
- A selfstarter approach with the confidence to look beyond the here and now for the what could be.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with conflicting time demands and multiple stakeholders
- Have a strong inclination to data analysis combined with same attention to business impacts.
- Possess strong analytical skills mathematical abilities and critical thinking a clear and open communication relational and team building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share information.
- Excellent knowledge of Office package with advanced expertise in Excel (pivot macro statistics formulas).
- Proficient with SQL Python Dax PowerBI Excel & PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of code versioning and testing.
- Nice to have: knowledge of Dataiku and GCP tools for data science.
- Fluent in English
