Amazon is looking for a teamoriented highly analytical and passionate business leader to join the Sports & Outdoors team in our Winter & Water Sports Categories. The Sr. Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a rapidly growing and developing business in Ski Snow and Water Sports on Amazon. This role is responsible for vendor relationship management and negotiations driving sales/marketing/promotions implementing operational performance improvements and creating a world class customer experience.
The candidate will own their portfolio/category from start to finish and will be responsible for meeting the following targets: revenue and margin growth selection count instock rate inventory turnover and aging as well as leading process/efficiency improvement targets.
In addition this position is expected to provide leadership across categories driving systems process and customer experience improvements that will benefit all customers at . This will include heavy focus on improving customer experiences for emobility product deliveries replacement parts and returns.
The successful Sr. Vendor Manager must be able to: Act as the business owner for assigned categories possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting monitoring understanding and reporting on the business along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)
Have a thorough understanding of the industry seasonality and business trends/events and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
Maximize Amazons business profitability and selection expansion opportunities
Have a complete understanding of the customer needs both existing and potential and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience
Manage vendor relationships manage supplier/partner contracts manage daytoday relationships and negotiate and secure marketing funds
Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies
Coordinate crossfunctional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
The role is 100% onsite in Seattle WA.
5 years of account management project or program management or buying experience Bachelors degree Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL Experience driving internal crossteam collaboration Experience using data to influence business decisions Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Experience driving direction and alignment with crossfunctional teams
