The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health Division (PHD) Adolescent ScreenWise and Reproductive Health (ASRH) section in Portland OR is recruiting for a Youth Sexual Health Research Analyst as part of the Adolescent & School Health Unit (ASH) to coordinate and implement research projects related to youth sexual health. In addition to supporting youth sexual health related projects across ASH the primary focus of this position provides research and data coordination to the federally funded grant the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP). PREP in Oregon currently supports sexual health education and healthy relationship programming to youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position provides data analysis and interpretation with a racial equity/health equity lens for a variety of audiences.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.
Bachelors Degree in any discipline that included sixquarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather compile and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.

Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather compile and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.

- Is passionate about promoting youth access to and involvement in health education and health care.
- Has worked on multiple aspects of both qualitative and quantitative research projects (e.g. design data collection analysis writing up results).
- Has experience designing and implementing surveys for gathering and reporting data.
- Has experience with software for both quantitative (SPSS Stata etc.) and qualitative (Atlas TI Dedoose etc.) data analysis
- Has knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Can write and present clearly about research methodology and findings for multiple audiences including incorporating appropriate tables charts & graphics to communicate intended messages.
- Has the ability to recommend actions based on research findings.
- Has a strong background in communitybased or populationbased adolescent health programs.
