This position as directed by the supervisor compiles data and narratives for the completion of the Cultural Competency and Language Access plans and the quarterly Limited English Proficiency (LEP) report to the DES Office of Equal Opportunity. Serve as subject matter expert for Readiness Review of newly contracting vendors of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). Works with the Divisions Network team to educate vendors about their required Cultural Competence and Language Access plans. Collaborate with Customer Service in creating a process of reporting LEP related grievances and involvement in finding immediate solutions. Participate in efforts to ensure accuracy/linguistically acceptable DDD publicfacing websites including social media. At the direction of the supervisor attend Person Centered Service Plan (PCSP) and Ad hoc meetings as requested by Support Coordination or as the need for more involvement is identified. Responsible for quarterly audits of Language Vendors both interpreting and translation services for all languages. The specialist communicates and coordinates with other DDD functional areas external stakeholders and vendors as instructed. This position reviews and researches materials and reports.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Knowledge Of:
Google Suite including Gmail Drive Docs Sheets and Hangouts.
Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) and American with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Federal requirements related to Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations state laws rules and regulations related to the Division of Developmental Disabilities and AHCCCS.
Cultural and linguistic competency principles and concepts. Systems of care and wraparound philosophy and practice communitybased serveries and support with an orientation to member driven guided and culturally.

Skills In:
Microsoft Office conflict resolution coaching cross cultural.

Experience in the field of diversity healthcare setting and bilingual is preferred.
