Job Description
At Bass Pro Shops we are committed to inspiring people to enjoy love and conserve the outdoors. Graphic Designers are responsible for assisting Art Directors and Senior Art Directors to create visually engaging output through print collateral promotional materials signage and other visual communications. Strong artistic sense and technical expertise in Adobe programs are essential for this position. This fastpaced field requires both independent and collaborative work as we to continue the legacy of natural imagery and aesthetics for which Bass Pro Shops is known.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop creative graphics and layout materials for visual concepts in support of overall brand strategy.
- Manage multiple design projects in a fastpaced environment meeting deadlines design specifications and budget restrictions
- Follow creative direction of the company and replicate a consistent brand image
- Work closely with Designers and Creative Director to discuss project requirements and conceptualize design concepts as needed
- Determine appropriate size and arrangement of copy and photography as well as font style and size
- Review final layouts and provide creative suggestions and direction when necessary
- Collaborate across departments to develop an excellent customer and brand experience for all marketing functions
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors Degree required;
Preferred Degree: Degree and significant coursework in Graphics preferred
Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Portfolio showing skills in multiple aspects of design required
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop InDesign and Illustrator
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a quick and efficient manner to meet tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Creatively talented with the ability to multitask daily
- Demonstrated knowledge of print concepts
- Excellent communicator with ability to receive and implement detailed written instruction
- Professional organized and enthusiastic team player willing to work on a wide range of projects
- Ability to bring a concept to life by creating a strong visual message with a targeted purpose
- Thorough understanding of the production process in order to prepare final art files for print
