Opportunity:
The mission of the Center for Online Innovation and Production (COIP) is to collaborate with UFs worldclass faculty in creating innovative engaging and relevant online courses. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to join our highly collaborative team. Working in two stateoftheart studios you would collaborate with instructional designers multimedia developers and faculty to develop multimedia that supports online education. In this position you will use your creative talent in all aspects of preproduction production and postproduction to include but not limited to video motion graphics animations augmented and virtual reality and gaming design to deliver stateoftheart engaging digital content. This position also assists in the technical and creative aspects of creating onlocation videos.
Essential functions of the position are as follows:
Collaborate with instructional designers and faculty on multimedia projects from the conceptual development stages throughout the implementation to delivery of the finished product. Coordinate the development production and distribution of digital media assets. Demonstrate visual creativity and the ability to develop video plans for onlocation activities and in studio.
Plans and performs video postproduction tasks include reviewing footage making editorial decisions video transcoding rough cuts audio adjustment color correction and final editing using Adobe Creative Suite software; utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video postproduction in accordance with the overall production concepts.
Coordinates and guides research and development of digital media tools as well as researches and assesses new trends in digital media that is applicable to online learning. Makes recommendations for new technology and processes to increase efficiencies and improve quality; also responsible for creating and maintaining digital media protocols.
$26.34 $31.13 hourly
A Bachelors degree in media or communications (audio/visual) plus 2 years of experience as a videographer or animator in a production environment. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills a plus. Knowledge of video and photo editing software (i.e. Final Cut Pro Adobe Premiere Adobe After Effects Adobe Photoshop). Experience in graphic design and 3D animation is also a plus.
