The Boeing CompanyBoeing South Carolinahas an exciting opening for a Structural Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced)to join our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) organization inNorth Charleston SC. This position is with the Liaison Stress team supporting production of 787 aircraft.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Structural Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates strength of structural nonconformances and repairs.
Applies knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product/process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycle.
Analyzes MRB dispositions for structural integrity and identify document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety.
Provides alternate repair recommendations as necessary to Liaison Engineering to meet structural requirements.
Coordinates with regulatory agencies and representatives to support certification of airplane structural components.
Supports inservice products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
Willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency.
Utilizes LEAN best practices.
Proactive collaboration with customer build positive relationships. (i.e. Liaison Engineering and Operations teams).
Effective communication with lead engineers team members and management.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (North Charleston South Carolina).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering (Aerospace Mechanical or Civil Engineering).
1 years of experience working with aircraft stress analysis and/or structural analysis.
Experience in Model Based Definition CATIA ENOVIA and PDM.
Experience with composite structures and stress analysis.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years of aircraft structures experience.
Experience with Boeing tools such as IAS CSW and Structures Workstation (SWS).
Ability to lead and work independently in a team environment.
Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to make decisions and deliver results.
Ability to support regular and emergent domestic and international travel (willing to travel up to 10% of the time).
