Job Description

The Finance Centre is Grosvenors centre of excellence for financial reporting and control. Within this framework the Reporting team manages the UK Urban Property business and wider Group internal and external reporting requirements. Collectively these businesses manage c.11bn of assets and c.6bn of Grosvenors equity deployed internationally across development and investment activities.

Grosvenors Asia operations are made up of overseas operating and trading assets primarily in Hong Kong and Japan. With the support of the Financial Accounting Manager the Reporting Accountant will play a key role in the delivery of accurate timely and well controlled statutory and management reporting cycles for the Asia portfolio along with broader reporting and management accounting activities within the Group. The role will collaborate with the thirdparty service providers in Asia to deliver high quality reports within the Group timelines. This is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a large multisector property business and work as part of an enthusiastic high performing team.

The Reporting Accountant will collaborate with the Grosvenor Diversified Property Investment (GDPI) business partners for key deliverables throughout the reporting cycle. The role will also play a part in the implementation of the new ERP and reporting system across the wider Grosvenor Property Group which is currently ongoing.

The role will also take on further responsibilities within the Finance Centre. These may include but are not limited to supporting quarterend and annual statutory reporting including balance sheet reconciliations balance sheet schedules yearend audit support and maintaining financial controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering the quarterly management reports and schedules in alignment with the Group timelines.
  • Contributing to insightful and commercially driven commentary to the quarterly variance analysis to budget and forecast.
  • Documenting the evidence ensuring strong audit trail for the financial information obtained from the third parties i.e. JV or process outsourcing partner.
  • Delivery of other financial ad hoc reporting and support for wider projects within the Finance Centre.
  • Delivery of statutory accounts at the yearend and liaising with the external auditors.
  • Supporting the month quarter and year end closing activities such as intercompany dividends fx workings and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain documentation on agreed processes and actively identify and implement ways to improve processes.
  • Supporting in the design and implementation of the new global ERP and Reporting systems with a strong focus on realising benefits from the change programme and optimising our use of the new systems.

Key requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) and demonstrable postqualified experience.
  • Track record of delivering high quality reporting to deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills including a working knowledge of complex accounting standards.
  • Advanced excel skills and experience using accounting software (e.g. Yardi Voyager OneStream Caseware).
  • Skilled at identifying and implementing process and other requirements to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Innovative thinker with a track record of delivering process improvements demonstrating growth mindset.
