Job Title: Apprentice Electrical Engineer
Based Derby onsite at RollsRoyce.
What this opportunity involves:
JLL are excited to open applications for our 2025 Apprenticeship program.
We are seeking an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in Derby. This apprenticeship program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience and expand their knowledge in the field of electrical engineering on a fouryear program. Under the guidance of experienced professionals the apprentice will support various electrical engineering projects across our portfolio of commercial real estate properties whilst working towards becoming a NVQ qualified electrician.
The role will require 4 days per week in our offices and one day per week at college to complete the Installation and maintenance electrician (level 3) training course.
Responsibilities:
Assist electrical engineers with the design installation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
Read and interpret electrical drawings diagrams and blueprints.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.
Requirements:
GCSE English grade C and Maths grade C
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
