Based at their Head Office you will join a dedicated Data Development team playing a crucial role in the design development and maintenance of critical BI solutions. This isnt just about building reports; youll be architecting robust data marts using Kimball methodology crafting complex ETL processes with SSIS/ADF and developing sophisticated Tabular models in SSAS. Youll have the chance to work with modern cloud technologies within the Microsoft Azure stack utilize Azure DevOps for streamlined workflows and lead quality assurance initiatives within the BI environment. Responsibilities:
- Architect develop and maintain scalable Data Marts using the Kimball methodology to meet evolving business requirements.
- Lead the extensive development and optimization of SQL objects and ETL processes using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Design develop and deploy robust Tabular models on SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to empower enduser reporting and analytics.
- Champion and utilize Azure DevOps for effective task management source control and potentially CI/CD pipelines within the BI development lifecycle.
- Continuously evaluate and embrace new technologies and methodologies to enhance the BI platforms capabilities and efficiency.
- Establish lead and manage quality assurance standards and processes within the BI environment to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Independently analyze complex business problems translating requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Effectively organize prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment demonstrating strong time management skills.
Requirements:
MustHaves:
- Technical: Minimum of 7 years handson experience specifically with MS SQL Server development.
- Technical: Minimum of 7 years handson experience specifically with MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Technical: Proven extensive experience in data warehousing concepts design and implementation (e.g. dimensional modeling ETL architecture).
- Technical: Strong proficiency in programming (especially TSQL) complex problemsolving and data analysis techniques.
- Technical: Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of healthcare data structures and nuances.
- Professional: A Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7 or higher) in Software Development Computer Science Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Professional: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with technical peers business users and management.
- Professional: High degree of selfreliance initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
