Job Description
Talent Development Journey teams mission is to make it easier for Amazonians to build rewarding careers in Amazons peculiar culture. To deliver on this mission Talent Development tech team is building a talent development ecosystem (TDE) which empowers human judgement action and interaction to make it easier to learn and grow in Amazons peculiar culture. TDE enables authoring high quality content delivering personalized learning experiences and measuring proficiencies at scale.
Over the next several years education and learning are going to fundamentally change and Amazon will play a significant part in this change. Amazon is investing in new products for learning and is looking for a FrontEnd Engineer to help build out a key program. You will help drive technical decisions develop and scale a new product for education used by developers and learning designers. This is an opportunity to shape an exciting new space from the ground up. In this role you will create and own features for a new product portfolio in the rapidly growing domain of enterprise and personalized learning.
Key job responsibilities
As a FrontEnd Engineer you will be responsible for the feature design development test and deployment of desktop and mobile customer experiences. You will be familiar with modern web development tools and frameworks like Node React Native ES6 and Webpack. You will work closely with dedicated UX professionals backend developers scientists and domain experts. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing progressive applications with responsive design excellent project management skills great communication skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. You must excel in navigating crossfunctional efforts and be adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into highly scalable simple products that our audience will love. 2 years of noninternship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
1 years of computer science fundamentals (objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
1 years of agile software development methodology experience
Experience with common frontend technologies such as HTML CSS JS TypeScript and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
