Senior Account Director Business Development (Realworld Evidence/Noninterventional Studies)

Internally our commercial team are valued as subject matter experts (SMEs) in building strong client partnerships. You will have the opportunity to work alongside top scientific and operational experts empowering them to excel with our clients while driving a real impact.
Externally you will serve as a trusted expert on the design conduct and use of noninterventional studies to help your clients to address research questions through use of PPDs unique RWE/D offering.
Essential Functions:
- Spearhead new business development and customer growth across a set of pharmaceutical/biotech clients aiming to grow pipeline and achieve authorization targets.
- Collaborate across the account team and SMEs to create strategic account plans based on a thorough understanding of the clients needs. Define account priorities and engagement plans to drive action.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with client stakeholders by positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. Share insights on industry trends and PPDs capabilities.
- Lead crossfunctional teams of SMEs to promote PPDs full range of products and services.
- Collaborate in development of proposals and client presentations lead bid defense meetings and support contract negotiations for new business growth.
- Maintain SalesForce (CRM) with attention to detail and rigorous documentation discipline.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
- 510 years of experience selling realworld solutions and consultancy services to medical affairs safety clinical development market access and HEOR clients.
- Solid understanding of the principles of drug development and lifecycle biopharma/biotech priorities and related needs.
- Experience with the Challenger Sales Model highly preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- A solid understanding of RWE / RWD trends and advancements.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads making professional presentations managing the sales process and handling contract negotiations.
- Project management success across multidisciplinary teams.
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
- Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel (2550%) both domestic and international.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Frequently stationary for 68 hours per day.
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast simple repeated movements of the fingers hands and wrists.
- Frequent mobility required.
- Occasional crouching stooping bending and twisting of the upper body and neck.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 1520 lbs.
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both inhouse and offtheshelf.
- Communicate information clearly; listen and understand spoken ideas.
- Frequently interacts with others to acquire or relate information to diverse groups.
- Works independently with little mentorship or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
- Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multitask.
