SUMMARY:
The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences of East Texas A&M University (ETAMU) is currently accepting applications for a fulltime nonrenewable ninemonth Instructor position. The role involves teaching environmental sciences and hydrology courses at the Commerce TX campus starting in August 2025. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and provide service to the department the university and the local community as part of their role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach 15 hours (or equivalent) of undergraduate courses in environmental sciences in facetoface and online format.
- Maintain quality programming in terms of expectations for activity quality instruction and record keeping.
- Coordinate and facilitate associated labs with Environmental science Faculty.
- Engage in service within the department of biological and environmental science department and serve on departmental college university and professional committees.
- Perform other duties as needed related to the overall mission of the department the college and the university
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctoral or masters degree in environmental science or a closely related discipline.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Fluent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals. Commitment to high quality teaching. Dedication to high standards and student success. Experience in working with environmental science in real world settings and research settings.

Overseeing the teaching of laboratories related to the teaching of assigned courses which includes supervision of Graduate Assistants and Learning Assistants
