Job Description

The ECE Summer STEM Camp 2025 will run from June 8th to June 14th 2025. As a Camp Worker you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety enjoyment and wellbeing of campers throughout the program. You will assist in organizing activities supervising campers and maintaining a fun educational and positive environment. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for working with children and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Campers: Monitor and engage with campers during activities and ensure their safety at all times.

  • Assist in Activity Coordination:Help plan and facilitate a variety of recreational educational and outdoor activities.

  • Promote Positive Behavior: Encourage positive behavior and handle any behavioral issues in a calm and respectful manner.

  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the camps facilities equipment and activities are safe and meet camp guidelines.

  • Provide Support: Assist with meal times daily routines overnight stay and any other tasks necessary for camper care and wellbeing.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other camp staff to ensure smooth operations and positive camper experiences.

  • Follow Camp Policies:Adhere to all camp policies safety guidelines and procedures including emergency protocols.

  • Build Relationships: Foster a fun and supportive environment where campers feel comfortable valued and engaged.

  • Record Keeping:Keep track of campers needs health information and any incidents or concerns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Age: Must be 18 or older.

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to participate in outdoor activities and physical tasks such as lifting walking or standing for extended periods.

  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a love for outdoor activities and the camp experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification preferred but not required.

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children in a camp recreational or similar environment is preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Fulltime seasonal position.

  • Flexible hours based on camp schedule (includes weekends and evenings for one week).

  • Pay rate involves overnight stays.
