Job Description

Industrial Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Berkeley MO. This Industrial Engineering role will support Lab Test working with teams of engineers and technicians within the Boeing Test & Evaluation Organization.

The ideal candidate will use manufacturing operations knowledge and business sense to partner with cross functional teams from engineering quality supplier management materials management and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives. The Industrial Engineers assist in the stabilization of the testing environment implement lean methodologies assess test readiness requirements as well as improve quality through root cause analysis and BPSM. BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Industrial Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Apply basic industrial engineering concepts approaches and techniques to product process and services to meet program requirements
  • Support the development of plant and equipment layouts capacity plans accident prevention measures sequencing of operations and workflows
  • Participate in the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
  • Assist with designing maintaining and optimizing the production system by integrating design supply base facilities equipment and personnel
  • Conduct basic workflow design and analysis
  • Develop simple models databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders
  • Support research design develop improve and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance lower cost and improve quality for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
  • Support implementation plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods
  • Document product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
  • Support the preparation of operations plans including work statement analysis budgeting and forecasts capacity and constraint analysis and production change to ensure technical goals and objectives are met
  • Support execution planning by using project management planning and scheduling and shop load practices
  • Provide production supply chain logistics performance visibility and recovery planning support
  • Follow compliance requirements with established industry safety design standards and ergonomic guidelines
  • Lead metrics data analysis and improvement plans related to our teams productivity efficiency and firsttime quality including Lean events 5S improvement plans and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
  • 1 years of experience in an industrial engineering role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in laboratory operations
  • Experience with project management
  • An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Summary pay range for experienced level: $86700 $117300

This is not a Safety Sensitive Position.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
