In January 2025 a formal PSEA Unit was established under the Office of the Executive Director responsible for overall coordination of PSEA efforts globally. As such the PSEA Unit has been facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to PSEA including identifying good practices supporting interagency coordination and UN coherence and providing advice and guidance to employees on SEA prevention and response.
The Operational Partners Unit provides guidance and country office support worldwide in their day to day management of cooperating partnerships as well as for NGO partners regarding how to work with WFP.
The PSEA Unit and Operational Partners Unit work in close collaboration on PSEA matters related to NGO partnerships this includes PSEA capacity assessment and capacity building.
The Consultant (PSEA and Partnerships) will report to the Senior Advisor (PSEA) and work collaboratively with other members of PSEA Unit and the Operational Partners Unit. This position is home based.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development of an Implementing Partner PSEA Capacity Assessment implementation plan for WFP.
Provide support and training to selected country offices on the joint UN Implementing Partner PSEA Capacity Assessment and provide training and webinars on PSEA for Partnerships as requested using PSEA Unit/NGO Partnerships tools.
Provide support to both CP management staff and PSEA Focal Points on how to conduct verifications of PSEA SelfAssessments and to support CPs in developing and implementing capacity strengthening implementation plans outlining appropriate risk mitigation measures including capacity building and monitoring and outlining steps for the partner to increase the number of PSEA standards.
Support with the development of training of trainers modules for the continuing implementation of the PSEA capacity assessment tool.
Support regular data analysis documentation of lessons learned and case studies and good practices from country offices.
Support the development and implementation of trainings and capacity building sessions on the UN Partner Portal PSEA Module. Contribute to interagency coordination and collaboration on PSEA for partnerships as requested. Support the PSEA Unit within the scope of the PSEA portfolio and the skills of the Consultant as requested and agreed.
