Job Description:
Energetic Associate Software Engineer sought by industryleading Canadian Asset Management & Insurance this role you will work together with experienced software engineers sub architects business analystsand testers to design develop and implement solutions. You will learn our software delivery methodology good software development practice and continuously grow your technical knowledge communication skills and leadership skills.
What will you do
Be a collaborative team member who continuously strives to improve the client experience our team and our processes
Learn JCL COBOL or PL1 IMS DB2 IDz IDMC and other mainframe programming skills
Grow your problem solving and software development skills
Demonstrate strong ownership of technical work
Create/update team artifacts and deliver value to the client
What do you need to succeed
This opportunity is available to students with a December 2025 or later graduation date

Keen appetite for learning relevant technologies and for continuous selfimprovement
Ideally well also get somebody with one or more of the following:
Excellent communication and organization skills
Keen appetite for learning relevant technologies and for continuous selfimprovement
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Familiarity with Git Bitbucket and Jenkins is a plus
IBM Z Xplore concepts badge JCL COBOL PLI or IDMC an asset
Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban would be an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
