Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our dynamic design team at one of South Africas newest and innovative banks. The ideal candidate will be tasked with designing seamless and innovative digital banking experiences for a mobile platform ensuring a customercentred approach in all design elements.

This role involves working closely with crossfunctional teams including product managers engineers and other stakeholders to create intuitive accessible and engaging user interfaces that meet the strategic objectives of the bank.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Design Execution: Create highfidelity prototypes and wireframes for digital banking applications. Ensure designs are in line with the banks brand guidelines and digital standards.
  • User Testing: Assist in planning and assisting in usability tests and other design research activities. Take the user feedback and iterate designs accordingly to enhance user experience and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product owners developers and other team members to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately. Participate in agile development processes and standups.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of UX trends tools and technologies. Propose innovative design solutions that enhance user experience and drive digital banking forward.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior designers providing guidance and feedback to help them grow in their UX design skills.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design specifically in the banking or fintech industry.
  • Relevant Qualification in Design HumanComputer Interaction or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects including workflows wireframes and user interface designs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and user research findings to various stakeholders.
