Coperion is now hiring a Fabricator to join our team in Kansas City MO.
This position is responsible for performing sheet metal assembly operations that include a variety of complex parts details and assemblies. Layout fabricate assemble install and rework a wide variety of parts and assemblies.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm
Work Youll Do:
Operate sheet metal equipment such as brakes rolls and use hand tools as .
Fabricate special equipment as .
Read blueprints for use in welding and fabrication.
Clamp hold tackweld manipulate grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance and specifications.
Keep your own work area clean and orderly.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be dependable accurate selfmotivated and possess a strong work ethic.
Ability to use a tape measure.
Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Must have a keen attention to detail in order to produce quality parts.
Must possess the ability to stand bend stoop squat or kneel regularly as well as climb ladders.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferably have 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Preferably have experience with roll forms and press breaks and experience with a band saw.
Experience with CNC laser helpful but not necessary.
MIG and TIG weld skills helpful but not necessary.
