Job Description

Summary:

The Family Find Worker is responsible for recruiting Sttimc foster families and caregivers with the goal of creating temporary/permanence for children.


Qualifications:

2year college certificate/diploma in Child & Family or a related accreditation or combination of education and work experience in the field.

Knowledge and understanding of Sttimc culture and ability to work with Aboriginal people.


Duties & Responsibilities

Identify recruit and support the development of local foster families

Responsible for creating linkages between urban and on reserve Aboriginal communities and services providers across the northern Sttimc territory.

Networking and liaising with the communities to build child welfare support services.

Work individually and with a team

Responsible for records file maintenance and reporting.

Must be willing to submit to and clear a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
