Business Systems Analyst I Hybrid – Dallas, TX or Minneapolis, MN

Location: Hybrid Dallas TX or Minneapolis MN (up to 20% travel)
Contract Type: Temporary (LongTerm Assignment over 90 days)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Business Systems Analyst to join the Enterprise API (eAPI) Product Team of a leading beverage distributor in the United States. This longterm assignment focuses on bridging business needs with technical execution enabling the delivery of scalable reusable cloudnative services and APIs integrated with SAP S/4HANA systems. The ideal candidate brings handson experience working with enterprise APIs cloud platforms and Agile teams and thrives in a crossfunctional fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions (Sales Finance Supply Chain) to elicit document and validate functional and nonfunctional requirements.

• Conduct workshops and interviews to uncover edge cases and integration scenarios.

Solution Design & Modeling

• Develop process flows data models and API sequence diagrams using tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
  

• Define API boundaries and data contracts aligned with domaindriven design in collaboration with architecture teams.

Technical Documentation & Governance

• Author and maintain documentation in Confluence and SharePoint including user guides developer guides and API references.S
• Support data governance efforts including data stewardship roles lineage mapping and data quality rules.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Translate requirements into user stories acceptance criteria and backlog items in Jira.
• Act as liaison between product managers architects and engineering squads to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning standups reviews and retrospectives.

Quality Assurance & Support

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise API architecture (REST) service orchestration and microservices.
• Handson experience with AWS services such as EC2 Lambda API Gateway and IAM.
• Proficient in SQL; able to write and optimize queries for data profiling and validation.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Jira (including JQL) Confluence and SharePoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise API architecture (REST) service orchestration and microservices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA modules integrations and implementation best practices.
• Certifications in SAP integration or API platforms (e.g. Apigee MuleSoft).
• Experience designing and publishing APIs via an API gateway or developer portal.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools (ERwin ER/Studio) and UML.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Groovy) or lowcode platforms.
• Exposure to domaindriven design (DDD) and eventdriven architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across technical and business audiences.
