Job Description
Surgical Scrub Technician Contract Position
Location: Rochester New York
Assignment Duration: 08 Weeks Contract
Open to Local & Travel Candidates
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 8-hour Evening Shift (Monday-Friday)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Payrate: $1440 - $1600
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments equipment and sterile supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures ensuring proper handling of instruments.
- Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Assist in preparing and draping patients for surgery.
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper labeling.
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
Certifications Required:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Active certification required
Specialty Experience: Must be comfortable assisting in total joint replacement cases.
Required Expertise: Experience in Ortho Neuro Robotic GYN Urology General and Vascular surgeries.
Accepted Certifications: NCCT NBSTSA or other nationally recognized credentials.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
