Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals throughout Ireland and overseas we guide you through professional registration job placement visa and employment permit processing.
We RecruitNet International are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON)/General Manager/Person In Charge (PIC) to our Nursing Home client in Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • As the Person in Charge (PIC) as defined by the Health Act of 2007 and HIQA regulations assume complete accountability.
  • Assure a positive work environment and high morale by exercising strong visible leadership over employees.
  • Help create and carry out operational and strategic plans for the house.
  • Make certain that resources are used effectively and efficiently.
  • Make certain that residents always receive excellent personcentered care. Manage risk assessments care planning and the provision of individualized services.
  • Keep an eye on incident handling clinical governance and safety procedures.
  • Encourage ongoing efforts to improve quality.
  • Continue to adhere strictly to HIQA policies procedures and standards.
  • Take the lead in getting ready for and responding to HIQA audits and inspections.
  • Preserve any records and reports that are mandated by legal requirements.


Requirements

  • Possess an active PIN and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Within the last six years at least three years of experience in a managerial capacity in a hospital setting.
  • Thorough familiarity with the Health Act of 2007 HIQA standards and pertinent statutory requirements.
  • Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills in a medical setting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to motivate and lead groups of people to provide highquality care.
