Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Oligonucleotide Manufacturing to
oversee the daytoday operations of our oligonucleotide synthesis facility in Louisville KY.
This position reports to the Business Unit Manager of Eurofins Genomics and will lead a team of
4050 employees in a dynamic fastpaced production environment. The ideal candidate will
have deep experience in manufacturing operations process optimization and automation along
with a solid background in organic chemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily oligonucleotide manufacturing operations to ensure optimal performance quality and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and Six Sigma projects to enhance productivity and reduce operational waste
- Plan design and implement automation and equipment upgrades to streamline production and increase throughput.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Sales Marketing Maintenance IT and R&D teams to support new product introduction and process enhancements
- Develop and implement robust process controls performance metrics and documentation systems to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze equipment performance and manufacturing data to identify areas for improvement and corrective action.
- Build and lead a highperforming team ensuring appropriate staffing training development and performance management.
- Define clear departmental goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives; monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including GMP standards where necessary.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is required; MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 810 years of direct experience in manufacturing operations leading a plant manufacturing floor will be ideal
- Strong background in oligonucleotide synthesis will be a plus
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives and scaling manufacturing operations
- Excellent organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a handson leadership style.
- Experience with GMP environments and lean/six sigma methodologies is a plus.

- Employment Type: FullTime Exempt
- Work Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with additional hours as needed
- Salary: Commensurate with experience (DOE)
- Team Size: 4050 direct and indirect reports
