Job Description

Deezer is seeking an entrepreneurial and resultsdriven General Manager LATAM based in So Paulo to lead its operations across Latin America. This strategic and pivotal role includes full ownership of P&L driving growth across both B2B and B2C channels leading local teams (20 people) and amplifying Deezers footprint through highimpact partnerships especially with telcos retailers and entertainment brands. The successful candidate will be a key spokesperson for Deezer in the region and drive brand leadership in a highly competitive and culturally diverse market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a growth strategy for Latin America in alignment with Deezers global objective;
  • Own and drive local P&L performance including revenue (subs ads partnerships) and market share;
  • Lead a high performance focused business development team with ambitious goals and consistently high quota attainment throughout the sales organization;
  • Lead a 20 people crossfunctional local team (marketing content commercial product) fostering alignment with global teams;
  • Develop and scale strategic partnerships with telcos banks media groups and retail partners;
  • Drive  localized marketing & content initiatives to drive user acquisition engagement and brand awareness leveraging partner distribution channels
  • Drive overall sales and business development leadership and vision for LATAM and communicate clear and actionable strategic priorities and unite the team and the broader corporate organization in supporting and achieving them;
  • Collaborate closely with central functions (adsales marketing content tech finance HR) to localize and execute plans efficiently;
  • Leverage data and market insights to monitor performance adapt strategies and capture growth opportunities;
  • Be a thought leader and challenger in the market anticipating trends and identifying white space opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • 15 years of senior leadership experience in commercial or general management roles across LATAM ideally within the media / entertainment industry;

  • Deep understanding of subscriptionbased businesses (B2C and/ or B2B) entertainment/media ecosystems;

  • Strong understanding of brand strategy digital acquisition and lifecycle marketing and funnel optimisation.

  • Proven track record of driving P&L success business development and complex partnership negotiations;

  • Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional and multicultural teams in highgrowth environments;

  • Datadriven resultoriented and comfortable owning ambitious KPIs;

  • Collaborative leadership style with experience working in matrix/global environments.

  • Strong strategic thinker with sharp execution skills and operational rigor;

  • Facilitate and foster a diverse team culture based on overall high standards. Drive accountability through the team while building foundations for sustained and predictable results.

  • Excellent communicator in English & Portuguese Spanish considered a plus;

  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.

  • Familiarity with the music & entertainment industry a nice to have.

  • Local revenue and P&L across B2B and B2C segments

  • Subscriber growth ARPU ad revenue % market share

  • Performance and revenue with existing strategic partners in the region 

  • Brand awareness marketing & AR activations

  • Volume and impact of new partnerships signed

  • Team engagement and performance indicators
