What youll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. For this role you must have experience in looking after clients with peg feed. We care for and support people of all ages in the community and their homes with Spinal Cord injury Muscular dystrophy acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And youll never know what challenges youre about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though is that youll be making your clients days brighter whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
The client is a gentleman in his early 60s who has a spinal injury and during your daytoday you will be monitoring his various clinical needs which include the following:
Required to manage daily suctioning and manual cough assist.
The management of noninvasive ventilation via Cpap.
The management of bowel care including manual evacuation.
Perform personal care when required.
Qualifications :
What youll need
Experience in adult healthcare with the following requirements will need to be met before being offered this position:
Experience with suction machines.
Experience with catheter care and bowel management.
Experience with administering medication.
