Develop and implement maintenance policies procedures and standards to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of assets.
Manage a team of maintenance technicians including recruitment training performance evaluation and development.
Coordinate with department heads to prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs and service requirements.
Oversee the troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions ensuring timely and effective repairs.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets including cost estimation expenditure tracking and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements safety standards and environmental regulations related to maintenance activities.
Implement energysaving initiatives and sustainability practices to reduce operating costs and minimize environmental impact.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors suppliers and contractors for outsourced maintenance services and procurement of equipment and supplies.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and address potential hazards or safety risks.
Collaborate with other departments to support special projects renovations and facility expansions.
Keep abreast of industry trends best practices and technological advancements in maintenance management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in engineering facilities management or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in maintenance management with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the service industry.
Strong technical knowledge of building systems mechanical equipment and utilities infrastructure.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
Proficiency in maintenance management software computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders external vendors and regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of safety regulations compliance standards and environmental requirements relevant to the service industry.
Project management skills and experience overseeing largescale maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional Facilities Management Professional) are desirable.
