Additionally the school day is extended by 60 minutes reinforcing MVRCSs mission to provide every student with access to a worldclass Summary ParaprofessionalMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a dedicated studentcentered Paraprofessional to support both academic and behavioral growth within the classroom. Working under the direction of licensed teachers and school leaders the Paraprofessional will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment by enhancing instruction encouraging student engagement and reinforcing schoolwide Responsibilities:Assist classroom teachers with instructional planning classroom organization and daytoday supportHelp maintain a positive and orderly learning environment in alignment with the schools assertive discipline modelModel and reinforce school policies behavioral expectations and core valuesSupport students during wholeclass instruction group work and independent tasksReinforce academic and behavioral skills such as focus attentiveness task completion and participationWork with small groups of students on reading writing math spelling or language skills as neededProvide individualized support to students requiring additional academic or behavioral assistanceAssist with grading reviewing student work and maintaining classroom recordsMonitor and help students complete missed or incomplete assignmentsAdminister assessments checkouts or retests as directed by the teacherParticipate in assigned duties including morning arrival lunch/recess supervision and afternoon dismissalAttend Back to School Night and other required afterschool eventsSupport other responsibilities as assigned by the School Leadership TeamParticipate in all required professional development sessionsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to assess situations gather data and draw reasonable conclusionsFamiliarity with school operations instructional practices and applicable educational lawsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced teamoriented environmentStrong interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting student successMust pass all applicable MTEL exams within one year of employmentU.S. work authorization requiredThis is a fulltime annually appointed position subject to yearly performance Opportunity EmployerMystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
