Key job responsibilities Key Job Responsibilities: Design Phase Cost Management: Lead the development and maintenance of the Basis of Design (BoD) cost models ensuring alignment with program requirements and design intent. Programmatic Change Analysis: Evaluate and quantify cost impacts resulting from programmatic changes during the design and construction phases collaborating closely with PreConstruction and Construction teams to integrate changes effectively. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work crossfunctionally with Design Procurement Construction and Finance teams to ensure cost considerations are integrated throughout the project lifecycle. Cost Reporting: Prepare and present detailed cost reports forecasts and variance analyses to senior leadership facilitating informed decisionmaking. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process enhancements contributing to the development of best practices and standards within the cost engineering function.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Quantity Surveying Civil Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost control with specific knowledge of electrical mechanical or architectural cost elements. At least 2 years of experience in data center or other missioncritical construction environments (Semiconductors Oil & Gas).
Proficiency in cost estimating software such as Procore RSMeans Data Online ConWize STACK and ProEst. Experience reviewing and justifying budgets with a strong understanding of cost estimation strategies. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex cost information effectively to both construction and nonconstruction professionals. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience working with remote teams and managing multiple stakeholders across various disciplines.
