We are looking for a Senior Engineer TIS LP Leak Detection CPM Maintenance. This position acts as a Software Development lead for software initiatives related to pipeline leak detection.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more layers of leak detection and provides subject matter expertise to complex/innovative leak detectionbased projects. This position is a Technical Lead for the integration and maintenance of new assets into the Leak Detection Program.

What you will do:
Acts as a SME for multiple layers of leak detection. Examples of systems include material balance automated pressure deviation automated volume balance column separation detection statistical volume balance rupture detection and batch tracker.
Acts as a SME to provide critical technical input to the FWT (Fluid Withdrawal Test) Program. Reviews proposed test plans and provides feedback to FWT team to ensure quality and accuracy of tests.
Provides Software Engineering expertise for software developments performed within Leak Detection (LD) and represents LDs needs on software initiatives by others.
Provides Technical Leadership to SRP (SCADA Replacement Program) implementation team to update/upgrade leak detection systems including the development of implementation checklists quality control checks and management of change processes.
Responsible for the design development implementation and support of complex and/or innovative CPM based leak detection systems including testing tuning and installation of production systems.
Completes maintenance checks to ensure continuous operations of leak detection systems.
Reviews and regularly updates leak detection model documentation to ensure the latest standards and review cycles are followed.
Monitors production leak detection systems performs deep rootcause analysis and implements required complex updates following Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Provides 24/7 backup oncall support to Leak Detection Analysts on a rotational basis and on exception maybe required to provide technical expertise support when not on a regularly scheduled rotation.
Evaluates leak detection systems and develops prioritized recommendations to PCSLD Management for additional instrumentation to achieve improved leak detectability with appropriate justification; and assists with submissions into capital budget cycles and longrange planning program.
Participates in the execution and reporting of leak detection sensitivity measurements.
Who you are:
A degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer designation (i.e. P. Eng.) membership in a professional organization.
Minimum of seven (7) years experience in hydraulic and computer programming experience that includes at least 5 years directly related to computational pipeline modeling. Credit may be given for higher degrees.
Advanced knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and modelling.
Advanced working experience in software development with excellent knowledge of python C# and C.
Innovative and specialized knowledge of computational pipeline modelling programming or thermodynamics.
Experience with realtime transient model software and/or statistical modeling software in an online environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead software and architecture development in a complex multisystem environment.
In depth knowledge of Control Centre operations and SCADA systems.
Proven ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Working Conditions:
Work is normally conducted in an office environment during regular business hours.
Participates in a 24/7 backup oncall rotation to support Leak Detection Analysts and production leak detection systems.
May on occasion be required to provide assistance after hours.
May occasionally be required to travel within North America.
May require occasional travel to stakeholder sites and field locations.
