The Media Assistant tracks media mentions generates reports and coordinates events and projects for the Communications team.
Experienced. Demonstrated experience working as an administrative assistant providing daily office support.
Communicative. Ability to respectfully and confidently communicate verbally and in writing across lines of racial cultural and socioeconomic differences.
Organized. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while proficiently managing multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
Collaborative. Demonstrated ability to work with internal departments external organizations stakeholders and community members.
Mission Vision & Values Alignment.Demonstrates an understanding of and a commitment to SPLCs mission vision and values.
Conduct media tracking for Media Strategists.
Generate reports including board reports and weekly reports.
Assist with events and projects including the Midterm Democracy Project and manages Airtable for media team.
Research create edit copyedit and write internal and external outreach media materials.
Schedule interviews and distribute press releases statements and other materials to media members.
Onboard new staff and perform general administrative duties.
Schedule and coordinate interviews with spokespeople and assist in the production of internal media materials.
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

This is a nonexempt role and the minimum starting salary is $44558 ($21.42 per hour) annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
