Job Description
Cloud Integration Engineer
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Location: IRS Facility DC Metro Area. Note: 24x7 oncall support required
Clearance Required: Public Trust
RISA is seeking a Cloud Integration Engineer to support the IRS in modernizing the EAIB infrastructure. This role will focus on aligning EAIB services with cloudfirst enterprise standards supporting AWS/Azure adoption ICAM integration and hybrid architecture design.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and assessing cloud integration strategies for EAIB
- Supporting secure messaging migration to cloudbased platforms
- Mapping technical requirements and interoperability with IRS systems
- Assisting with documentation of modernization patterns and tradeoffs
- Collaborating with IRS cloud architects and delivery partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- 7 years in cloud systems engineering or application integration
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud ICAM and enterprise service buses
- Prior experience in federal cloud migration or IRS environments preferred
- AWS / Azure experience
- Experience with IBM MQ JDBC adapters queue health monitoring and interface readiness for testing cycles.
Work Environment:
Professional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand talk hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Must be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees customers and outside vendors.
Expected Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week based on the customers core operating hours.
