Institutional Effectiveness Officer

Utah State University is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Institutional Effectiveness Officer in the Office of Data & Analytics. This position plays a key role in aligning institutional effectiveness efforts with USUs mission and strategic priorities. This role will collaborate across departments build universitywide partnerships and champion a culture of continuous improvementensuring USU remains an innovative datainformed and studentcentered institution.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.

• Lead the design and implementation of institutional effectiveness initiatives aligned with USUs strategic goals.
• Build strong partnerships across the university to foster collaboration and shared accountability.
• Navigate organizational complexities with diplomacy and clarity to align crosscampus priorities.
• Partner with Institutional Research to develop and track key institutional metrics.
• Ensure compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards coordinating reports and continuous readiness.
• Support meaningful programlevel assessment of student learning in alignment with mission fulfillment.
• Promote and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement through datadriven decisionmaking.
• Engage stakeholders across the institution in improvement and accountability efforts related to academic quality and student learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Higher Education Administration Educational Leadership Institutional Research).
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education strategic planning accreditation institutional effectiveness or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes preferablywith NWCCU or similar accrediting bodies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in directing student learning assessment programs.
• Familiarity with higher education data systems and reporting tools.
• Experience in a leadership role within a higher education setting.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decisionmaking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
