Dishwasher - Full Time (Harrah's Hoosier Park)

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains kitchen work areas equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following key job functions.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing
• Cleans and restocks service bar area with glass
• Washes pots pans and
• Sweeps and mops kitchen
• Washes worktables walls refrigerators and meat
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans and floor
• Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler chemical dip buffing wheel and hand
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work
• Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:

Less than high school education; or up to onemonth related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read a limited number of two and threesyllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract twodigit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
