Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Senior Manager Regulatory Operations who is dedicated to patient safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to deliver on being the earths most customercentric pharmacy. The Senior Manager Regulatory Operations is responsible for guiding practices to adhere to state and federal regulations across several pharmacy locations. This individual will claim accountability for the performance and advancement of quality and compliance initiatives and will work to develop progressive strategies to continuously improve safety and service beyond traditional expectations. The Senior Manager Regulatory Ops will lead a program dedicated to ensuring all pharmacy staff are properly credentialed and positioned to fulfill a commitment to excellence. Additionally you will manage several Pharmacists in Charge within a geographic region.
The Senior Manager Regulatory Ops is responsible for maintaining adherence to regulatory rules and regulations across our operations and pharmacies. This individual will develop and implement pharmacy operations programs to adhere to State and Federal regulations. Youll manage a team to find practical creative solutions and approaches to regulatory constraints with the overarching goal of always delivering the best care to our customers. You will engage compliance legal finance product design and engineering teams in an efficient and productive way. You will oversee routine pharmacy auditing; adherence to industry accreditations; and pharmacy facility and pharmacy staff licensing. You will be involved with policy initiatives and maintaining strong regulatory relationships.
Key job responsibilities
Stay informed of local state and federal laws related to pharmacy practices including changes or developments and their impact on Amazon Pharmacy and its customers
Coordinate with the corporate legal team to maintain licensure of the pharmacy and its staff with various state pharmacy boards. Continuously monitor licensure requirements
Influence policies and align business initiatives with requirements and demands of accrediting/licensing bodies including but not limited to: Board of Pharmacy (BOP) National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) URAC Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
Serve as a liaison between Amazon Pharmacy and the Board of Pharmacy and attend the Pharmacy Board Meetings
Provide insight into new and ongoing projects and efforts and influences roadmap based on risk strategy
Maintain and report all records for the dispensing of controlled substances to each state when
required
Partner with appropriate stakeholders on complex regulatory escalations/risk opportunities
Lead and manage a team spanning across several different geographic locations
Doctorate or Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in domicile state
Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws rules and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety
Experience developing and managing pharmacy fulfillment center workflows
Knowledge of facility inspection and licensing process in domicile state
Knowledge of facility inspection and licensing process in NonResident states
People management and leadership skills
3 years of Amazon Pharmacy experience or 5 years PIC experience at high volume mail order or retailer
Experience recruiting interviewing hiring and mentoring Pharmacists Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Interns
Experience communicating with and presenting to Boards of Pharmacy and other regulatory bodies
Willingness to working varying schedules
Experience managing highvolume highlyautomated pharmacies
Experience managing 30 employees (including Pharmacists Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Interns)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
