InRegion Design Program Manager (Taipei Taiwan)
- Role
- Responsible for shepherding projects through the design process by coordinating the work of Industrial Designers CMF Designers Researchers and Engineers. In this role youll combine expert project management skills with a passion for industrial design and color material and finish design to help your team design how billions of users interact with our products. Youll work crossfunctionally and collaborate with executives managers designers and engineering teams to plan projects define milestones assign resources assess risks and help projects meet deadlines. As an inregion Design Program Manager you will maintain strong relationships with inregion crossfunctional stakeholders and leaders as well as your Mountain View based peers to ensure decisions and risks impacting Design are clearly communicated. This job requires you to be an expert juggler an ace planner and a flexible project manager who can balance multiple projects that span continents.
- Collaborate with and support design team leads in delivering the highest level of trustbuilding strategic counsel through all project interactions; act as a bridge between the ID and CMF team Engineering and Manufacturing teams connecting all groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for effectively.
- Identify project needs with regards to process tools documentation asset management etc
- Implement or drive required changes to make sure design team members are working at optimum efficiency.
- Define and manage project schedules and budgets from inception to completion.
- Represent the Design team in critical meetings to track actions milestones and deliverables.
- Provide clear communication to crossfunctional team leads and senior management regarding project status resource requirements issues and priorities. Proactively identify risks prioritize them and create plans to resolve in a timely manner.
- Skills
- Working knowledge of project management software (Smartsheet) and Google Docs.
- Thorough knowledge of usercentered design processes and iterative development processes.
- Proven ability to multitask analyze opportunities define successful approaches proactively solve problems and accomplish challenging objectives with a minimum of direction.
- Strong Familiarity with design tools software and prototyping methods at varied fidelity
- Experience working with multiple disciplines such as Industrial Design Color Materials & Finish (CMF) Mechanical Engineering Supply Chain and Operations
