Industrial Hygienist Mobile Lab Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Industrial Hygienist Mobile Lab Technician to join our team and operate out of one of our mobile laboratories. This role services the Kansas City metro area delivering highquality environmental testing to a wide range of clients including restoration and abatement companies homeowners and insurance providers.
As a Mobile Lab Technician youll be responsible for traveling throughout a defined region to collect samples conduct onsite testing and generate accurate reports that support environmental safety and compliance. This position plays a key role in helping clients manage environmental hazards and ensure safe building environments.
This is a Direct Hire role.
What you will be doing as a Industrial Hygienist Mobile Lab Technician
- Travel within the assigned region to collect environmental samples for asbestos mold lead and soot testing.
- Conduct onsite analysis using approved laboratory techniques and equipment such as Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) XRF analyzers and other industrystandard tools.
- Perform detailed inspections of buildings and sites to assess potential contamination.
- Analyze and interpret data to determine the presence and extent of environmental hazards.
- Generate comprehensive reports summarizing findings including test results and recommendations for remediation.
- Communicate clearly with clients to ensure understanding of the process and results and address any projectspecific concerns.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of environmental regulations and testing standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs to enhance technical skills.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Industrial Hygienist Mobile Lab Technician
- Bachelors degree in environmental science chemistry biology engineering geology or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred including NIOSH 582 EPA AHERA or ACAC certifications (e.g. CIEC).
- Prior experience with asbestos mold and lead testing in a laboratory or field setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with microscopy techniques is a plustraining will be provided.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow established testing procedures.
- Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical report writing.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned area and work flexible hours as needed.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
