Job Description
Build systems that drive Selling Partner growth and enhance customer experience on . As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) youll help create teams that develop services enabling Selling Partners to promote products through BuyXGetY Point of Sale Discounts (POSD).
Youll architect solutions that unify Retail and ThirdParty promotions sourcing. We seek selfstarters who excel in technological innovation consistently raise performance standards and collaborate effectively to enhance ideas and solutions.
This role operates within the Selling Partner Promotions organization which implements structured processes including Quarterly Planning Office Hours and Feature Intake. These processes reduce workflow disruptions allowing engineering teams to focus on building scalable systems for Selling Partners and customers.
Join our team as an SDE II and help shape the future of Amazons promotional architecture.
Key job responsibilities
Design and architect the BuyXGetY (BxGy) promotion platform while developing expertise in the Promotions business domain.
Drive endtoend software component delivery through collaboration with Product Technology and Business teams.
Establish the technical foundation for future product iterations.
Lead system architecture and drive implementation of coding standards testing protocols and security practices.
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team.
Partner with crossfunctional teams to achieve business objectives.
Maintain and improve software development lifecycle processes.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
