The PwC Operate Application Evolution Services (AES) is looking to recruit an Oracle Applications DBA Manager. You will be joining an established team of Support Consultants who provide support and enhancement services to Oracle clients in the UK and overseas.

What your days will look like:

  • Incident Management analysing and resolving Incidents within the agreed SLAs with our clients

  • Problem Management perform root cause analysis to reduce recurring Incidents

  • Change Management scope implement and test system enhancements

  • Identify candidates and perform scoping for system improvements

  • Build and develop relationships with key client stakeholder

  • Manage your own caseload whilst also supporting other Oracle AES teams

This role is for you if you have:

  • Proficiency in installing configuring and maintaining Oracle databases.

  • Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL for querying updating and managing data.

  • Skills in monitoring and optimizing database performance including query optimization and indexing strategies.

  • Knowledge of Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) for backup and recovery processes.

  • Understanding of Oracle security features user management and data encryption methods.

  • Experience in applying patches updates and performing version upgrades for Oracle databases and Oracle Ebusiness Suite.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard RAC (Real Application Clusters) and other high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Shell) to automate routine database and application tasks.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms for deploying and managing Oracle databases and applications.

  • Ability to configure and customise Oracle EBusiness Suite applications to meet business requirements.

  • Skills in diagnosing and resolving application issues both at the database and application levels.

  • Knowledge of integrating Oracle EBusiness Suite with other systems and applications using APIs web services or other integration tools.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and client facing skills
