Overview of Nuveen Infrastructure
Nuveen Infrastructures European clean energy team manages funds which invest in renewable power generation assets in Europe for an AUM value in excess of 3bn. The funds are invested in a mix of capital appreciation and cash flow generative assets. The funds target assets in development construction or in operation across the main technologies of onshore wind offshore wind and solar PV battery storage hydropower and bioenergy across Western Europe. Since 2007 Nuveen Infrastructure has invested in 119 clean energy infrastructure projects representing 6.9 GW in total. The team comprises 75 professional professionals dedicated to clean energy across equity and credit.
Our Investment Internships offer options across buy side and sellside mandates within the investment team.
As a Clean Energy Investment Off Cycle Intern you will have the opportunity to:
Conduct research on selected sectors countries or market segments to identify trends and produce market analysis.
Follow regulatory development in the renewable energy sector (regulatory framework tariffs EU targets & tenders).
Produce marketing materials for fund raising campaigns.
Support in analysis of energy generation projects & valuations using cash flow based financial models.
Assist in project SPV financial statements analysis.
Support the investment team in drafting investment proposals and investment committee presentations for acquisition project financing and divestment transactions.
Aid in transaction administration ensuring compliance of internal procedures.

You will get strong exposure to the renewable energy sector and have the opportunity to apply your financial and analytical skills to the assessment of real investment cases conduct valuation and assist the team all along the investment/divestment process.
Ability to gain hands on experience as well as getting an overall feel for the firm/ industry by attending business meetings delivering presentations exploring businessspecific tasks contributing to projects and working closely with crossfunctional groups.
Exposure to Senior Business Leaders globally across Nuveen and TIAA

What skills & competencies we require
A highly motivated and proactive individual interested in investment funds renewable energy and keen to work in a small and dynamic business environment.
Prior experience in the power industry/renewable energy sector is preferable.
Experience in management accounting investment review cash flow analysis financial structuring and modelling advanced control of Excel (and VBA).
Excellent oral and written communication adapted to different audiences.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to raise and discuss areas of risk and concern.
Proficient in Word Excel and PowerPoint: ability to prepare presentations and other corporate documents.
A Masters in Finance/STEM/Business Management related degree preferable.
Studying towards CFA CAIA ACA would be beneficial.
We cover a diverse range of clients across Europe so another EU language would be beneficial (e.g. Spanish Italian or German).
This is a great opportunity to join a successful firm in the private equity/renewable energy space. Due to high volume of applications you must be able to work the internship between July and December 2025.
