What you will do:
The Division of Behavioral Health is responsible for the oversight of publicly funded behavioral health services provided to youth and adults in the community through contracted agencies. The Division of Behavioral Health is looking for an individual who is committed to service will provide attention to detail and has excellent communication and organizational skills. Primary responsibilities include:
oversee and manage the publicly funded substance use disorder treatment services delivered statewide by contracted treatment providers;
provide technical expertise to program staff other agencies and clients receiving program services to ensure programs operate within set standards and services are delivered efficiently and effectively;
provide oversight over the eligibility determination process including management and oversight of the contracted vendors work to ensure Division goals and expectations for eligibility criteria are met;
provide oversight of the program delivery in specifically assigned programs including monitoring and evaluation of the integrity and fidelity of the program delivery and providing technical assistance;
provide technical assistance and guidance to agencies delivering services to assist in achieving goals and objectives and problemsolving when goals are not met;
provide direction and support to staff to perform assigned job duties and functions of program;
serve as a liaison between service providers and consultants;
provide support for the implementation of federal block grant and discretionary grant activities including serving as coproject director of the state opioid response grant;
maintain accurate information on the Departments website to inform the public of the available resources;
prepare requested reports maintain various databases monitor authorizations review trends on utilization and assist with budgeting;
gather and analyze data reason logically and accurately and solve problems utilizing reasoning and resourcefulness;
process review and prepare financial forms/invoices for payments;
provide support to team members as needed;
occasional travel and public speaking is expected.
Licenses and Certifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of work experience specifically providing treatment services to individuals with substance use disorders. Preferred candidates will have training and experience in a range of evidencebased practices for substance use disorder treatment and hold or have ability to hold certification/licensure from the Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals.

have ability to successfully deliver presentations and technical assistant support using clinical expertise both in person statewide as needed and also via virtual technology; and
successfully plan and organize work activities adjust to multiple demands and prioritize tasks to complete assignments and meet schedules and deadlines;
communicate effectively and efficiently;
demonstrate compassion respect courtesy and tact when interacting with others;
display confidence and innovation;
understand concepts related to client confidentiality;
have the ability to comprehend interpret and apply policies procedures laws and regulations;
prepare clear and concise documentation reports and correspondence that reflect relevant facts;
conceptualize needed change and initiate appropriate activities to move from concepts to implementation;
ability to take the lead role on projects to ensure programs operate effectively and efficiently;
knowledge and ability to use Excel Word Outlook and other basic computer programs efficiently.
