We are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join the Retail Bank Controllers Team as an Accounting Senior Manager with a focus on the oversight of accounting controls and internal management reporting as well as participation in special projects. You will be a selfstarter responsible for the functional management of a small team while overseeing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast paced time sensitive environment. This role will have the opportunity to engage with groups across the organization as part of new technology implementation issue resolution and process improvement.
Oversight of the Retail Bank Controllers Analytics and Reconciliation Controls team with ownership of daily and monthly control execution as well as support of monthly quarterly and ad hoc analytics.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide meaningful subject matter support evaluate and mitigate risks and implement process or product changes
Collaborate with the Accounting Shared Systems team other Controllers Groups Finance Product and Retail Operations on projects and change management including work related to our Global Finance Systems and Reconciliation system enhancements upgrades and future state control environment.
Provide support for audit risk and compliance groups as necessary
Demonstrate strong People Leadership with a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage inform and influence outcomes
Lead through change with an ability to both multitask and prioritize diverse tasks
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 7 years of experience in accounting finance audit or a combination
At least 2 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years of banking or finance industry experience
At least 1 year of experience implementing process improvement projects
At least 4years of people management experience

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $170800 $194900 for Sr. Manager AccountingCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
