How youll contribute
We seek an accomplished and visionary Vice President of Human Resources to join our executive leadership team at our corporate headquarters in Omaha NE. In this seniorlevel role you will lead strategic human resources initiatives optimize employee engagement and organizational effectiveness and develop comprehensive strategies for talent acquisition retention training and performance management aligned with our growth and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Strategic Leadership
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO President and senior executives to align human resources strategies with company objectives and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement enterprisewide human resources strategies to enhance organizational capability and employee engagement.
  • Provide expert counsel on workforce planning organizational development succession planning and executive coaching.
Organizational Development & Leadership
  • Oversee key aspects of organizational design ensuring optimal resource allocation and structure to achieve strategic company goals.
  • Champion a highperformance innovative collaborative and continuous improvement culture at every level of the organization.
Team Leadership
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the human resources department.
  • Foster a culture of timely constructive performance feedback guiding department team members toward continued improvement and professional development.
Talent Acquisition
  • Develop advanced talent acquisition strategies processes and technologies to attract recruit and retain industryleading talent.
  • Strengthen and promote Boyd Jones employment brand through strategic partnerships and active community engagement.
  • Ensure exceptional candidate and onboarding experiences that reinforce Boyd Jones culture and enhance employee retention.
Employee Engagement & Experience
  • Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement strategies including regular engagement surveys effective internal communications and proactive responsiveness to employee feedback.
  • Create and oversee employee experience programs tailored to various roles fostering an inspiring and motivating workplace culture.
  • Implement sophisticated standardized performance management frameworks to drive accountability personal growth and organizational effectiveness.
Talent Development & Succession Planning
  • Architect and lead strategic talent development initiatives ensuring alignment with longterm organizational goals.
  • Develop robust companywide training and leadership development programs to support the growth of all team members and nurture future leaders.
  • Establish and manage relationships with external partners to enhance internal training capabilities and leadership development.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement
  • Lead efforts to standardize and streamline human resources processes across the organization.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular review and enhancement of human resources programs and practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership to guide the organization through change ensuring alignment and minimizing disruption.
Compliance Compensation & Benefits
  • Oversee the design management and administration of competitive compensation benefits and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Analyze human resources metrics and provide insightful reporting to inform executive decisionmaking.
What youll bring
  • A bachelors degree in human resources business administration or a related field is required; an advanced degree or human resources certification (e.g. SHRMSCP SPHR) is strongly preferred.
  • 12 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience including significant strategic responsibilities at the executive or senior management level.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative human resources strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership strategic thinking communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated talent acquisition organizational development succession planning and human resources compliance expertise.
  • Experience with advanced human resources technologies and analytics.
  • Previous experience within construction or a related industry is preferred.
