Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Management Systems (NMS) Administrator to support largescale migration and operations on a large highprofile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprisewide IT support to enable DTRAs Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate modernize and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRAs internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The candidate will be skilled and detailoriented NMS administration and more specifically SolarWinds to manage and maintain our network and systems monitoring environment. In this role you will be responsible for configuring optimizing and supporting the NMS platform to ensure effective monitoring of the IT infrastructure enabling proactive issue detection and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy configure and maintain SolarWinds modules (e.g. NPM SAM NTA NCM VMAN etc.).
Monitor the performance availability and overall health of network devices servers applications and databases.
Develop and maintain custom dashboards alerts and reports to support IT operations and business needs.
Integrate SolarWinds with other tools and platforms as needed (e.g. ServiceNow Splunk).
Analyze performance data and trends to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
Perform routine software updates patches and security configurations within the SolarWinds environment.
Troubleshoot SolarWindsrelated issues and provide Tier 2/3 support.
Document system configurations procedures and best practices.
Collaborate with crossfunctional IT teams (network systems security DevOps) to ensure accurate monitoring coverage.
Participate in oncall support rotation as needed.
Basic Qualifications Required:
BS degree and 8 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Specific experience education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
4 years of handson experience with SolarWinds or other NMS administration.
Proficient in configuring and maintaining SolarWinds modules such as NPM SAM and NCM.
Strong understanding of network and systems infrastructure (routers switches firewalls Windows/Linux servers virtualization).
Experience with SNMP WMI ICMP and other monitoring protocols.
Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell Python) for automation tasks.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Security or equivalentprior to start date.
Must possess an active DoD Secret with eligibility for a Top Secret at time of consideration.
Preferred:
Experience with SQL and SolarWinds Orion database structure.
SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) certification.
Experience in enterprise or multitenant environments.
Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89700.00 $162150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
