Senior Specialist Support Worker
Location: Bishops Cleeve Cheltenham
Hours: Up to 45 hours per week
Pay: 14.92 per hour
Shift Pattern: Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Driving Requirements: Due to the nature of this role a UK Full Clean driving license with access to a vehicle with
business insurance (or willingness to obtain) is essential. You may also be required to drive the
individuals vehicle if necessary.
DBS Check: This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check which will be provided by
Prosperity Care & Wellbeing.

We are looking forhighly experienced Support Workers who have experience working withchallenging behaviours to join our awardwinning team.
Your Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role you will provide highquality care and support to young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours. You will play a key role in supporting individuals with daily living activities fostering their independence and helping them achieve their personal goals to enhance their quality of life.
As a Senior Support Worker you will also play a key role in leading and guiding our team of Support Workers. Youll assist in fostering a positive inclusive and supportive environment while ensuring that both individuals and staff receive the support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver excellent care promoting independence and wellbeing for individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Provide handson support and guidance in managing challenging behaviours ensuring safety and wellbeing.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment promoting a culture of respect dignity and empowerment.
Assist with training and development for support staff offering practical guidance and emotional support as needed.
Participate in risk assessments ensuring all individuals receive appropriate levels of care and support.
Handle confidential information with the utmost care in line with policies and procedures.
To Provide emotional and practical support.
Requirements:
Must have experience with Complex Care and Challenging Behaviours.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals families and colleagues.
Knowledge of safeguarding personcentred care and relevant legislation and best practices.
A calm patient and empathetic approach with the ability to manage difficult situations effectively.
Commitment to reducing restrictive practices.
Able to demonstrate resilience and commitment to the role
